USING SIMPLE ADJECTIVES AND ADVERBS IN S

You already know that an adjective describes a noun or a pronoun. What it means is that you identify an adjective in a sentence by finding out the function it performs in the sentence. e.g
1.) The OLD man fainted after standing in the sun for a while.
2.) I warned Chima to dispose of the ROTTEN eggs.
3.) I bought SIX apples.
4.) Is it true that she is INSINCERE?

An adverb modifies a verb. eg 
1.) Hold those egss CAREFULLY.
2.) She walks GRACEFULLY.
3.) We travel WEEKLY
4.) They sang MELODIOUSLY.
NOTE: carefully explains how the eggs should be held. In other words, it describes HOLD.
> Gracefully describes WALKS.
> Weekly describes TRAVEL.
> Melodiously describes SANG.

ASSIGNMENT
Identify all the adjectives and adverbs in the sentences that follow.
1.) I prefer green apples to red apples.
2.) He needs someone to buy litmus paper for him.
3.) Am I to drink it hourly?
4.) If you are caught, you'll be severely punished.
5.) Put it in the waste bin.
